Balor's head was thrown into the Great Devoid. In theory this was supposed to stop him from returning. Alric says that Balor has been killed before, and as a result became more powerful. Does this mean The Leveler? Or does it mean Balor? Balor was contained by the Forest Giants, and in theory, that could count as nearly killing him.
But, one might wonder, has the cycle been broken?

If the cycle was broken, was it when Balor lost when he should have won or when Soulblighter tried to force te cycle eh? If the 'Alric is real Leveller' thory is correct than the cycle has yet to make this age's transition fully clear.

Then of course you can discuss if the cycle is gonna be gone or just changed. Pre-Age of Reason the cycle was not the same.
