I have the Linux (Loki) CD and was wondering if there's a way to install 1.6 with the data from the Linux version. Can this be done?

1.6 doesn't work on Linux. If you're planning to install it on Windows or Mac from the Linux CD & the 1.6 updater, then it's possible - let me know if you need instructions.

I was hoping there was an easier way but I just installed it under Linux and copied the files over. Seems to work! thanks.

I'd like to have the instructions. I tried to do it with the installer but it didn't recognize my CD.

Update: Specifically, I'm trying to install it on OS-X

Turns out it is fairly easy. Just do a full install instead of a small install, and then copy it over to linux and run the updates. Works like a charm.
