Is there a hotkey that lets you switch between window mode and the regular mode where it switches resolutions and displays it fullscreen? If not, it'd be a handy option.

Unfortunately not. We'll look and see if its feasible, but I tend to think that the final release will be as it is now.

its not that it wouldn't be a cool feature, but that it could be complex, have unwanted side-effects and also its kinda late in the day to add things now 
Still, we'll talk it over & see what we can do, but I didn't want to get your hopes up.
