Big Blue Frog Model and Scenery Galleries

Don't know if this would be of any use to anyone, but a few years back when the mill was down I traded CDs of myth files/maps with other Mythers. One sent me a set of browsable web galleries of Myth II scenery and models (also for Chimera) he had created.

I don't know if they were ever posted to the web, I seem to recall the author saying at the time that he didn't have enough web space to host them. I found these recently on a CD so decided to republish/mirror these at the Myth Graveyard.

Big Blue Frog Scenery and Model Galleries

If anyone knows the original author of these, please let me know so I can credit him appropriately.

I can remember browsing that on the web. Maybe it is still hosted somewhere.

um... I just told you where it is 'still hosted'.

before being in it's current location it was on a different site I ran that had a Myth subsite, and then at another location on mything.org.

As I mentioned - the original author/creator of that BBFscenery and model galleries said that he had never put it online.

Those appear to just be images.

you are correct sir.

It is a gallery, not a download site.

It helps a mapmaker find things to put on a map - because you can see what various models and scenery look like without having to add them to your map and place them on the map. Much less tedious imo.

Other then the chimera stuff everything else is in the standard Bungie tag file(s) so there would be no point in having links to files containing those items. If anyone wants to extract all the chimera scenery items and models into individual files I'd be happy to link to it (or host it).

Actually someone (not me) is doing something like that. I just don't know when he wants to start to "advertise" it.

It's been a slow progress and I believe that only the "units collections" are actually there and not any of the models yet. Looks to be a great project though!

If you are talking about the same person/project as I was... then you are wrong! Units, scenery, and models.

So was I. It has more than just units.

I never said he didnt have more than just units. I said " I believe that only the "units collections" are actually there and not any of the models yet." which is true. He only has the images up for the models but no connection yet.

It doesn't really matter if any of the actual tags are available. I see the actual images as the more useful part. As in, I would settle for just knowing about the units. scenery, models, etc without having access to their tags. Once you see something of use you may want and know what map or plugin it belongs to, then the rest is easy.

You know pyro, you dont have to be such a prick to come off as a professional. You'r like one of the most condescending people I'v met at myth. Just because you have problems reading a post properly doesnt mean you have to come back acting like the topic doesnt matter just because you dont want it to.

whoa whoa whoa. I didn't intend any disrespect Road. Sorry if I said anything that appeared that way. I must have forgotten to add a smilie after the "..you are wrong!" part. All I meant was someone was doing what VR was talking about. A database with scenery and models. And you believed only the unit collections were done. Which is not true from what I meant. I meant the actual images and info on those things (units, scenery, models). But you meant the actual tags for them. So it turns out we both didn't understand what the other meant. But both were on topic. Both ideas are part of a database that helps mapmakers.

I didn't mean to appear like a jerk. Did I do so in other threads? If so I probably didn't intend to do so in those either. Well, unless someone was being a jerk first. I don't tend to be the first one. (I try not to start things, but I do continue things.) I guess if you take out the post where I said you were wrong, I wouldn't appear as a jerk to you. There must be more to it though for you to call me one of the most condescending people you have met on myth.
