back in the old days (the 90s) i played myth most days and night of my boyhood i had a lot of plugs of all kinds.

now im getting back in to this wicked game i have found most of the old plugs i liked apart from an alien one as in the films alien/aliens/alien 3 and the shity one

if anyone knows where i can find it that would be g8

Hey Echostorm,

We're big fans of ADT (Alien Dark Tide) and I recently tweaked the 1.3 release of the plugin so it no longer behaves like a Myth "Patch" file (which version 1.6 doesn't like much).

It's available on the OoH Downloads page under Baak's Redux Maps (currently the second entry) - it's really a very minor tweak, but I have to categorize it as something different so people know it differs from the original 1.3. The zip contains the tweaked ADT tagset along with the Classic and Earthwar map packs plus original readmes.

Also I posted Strangelet's ADT Manual on the OoH site so people could read it (jic the original site vanishes, as they sometimes do. Sometimes).

Let me know if you have any problems with the d/l or zip file (and actually let me know if it's OK too). There was a problem once upon a time with Mac users every now and then that seems to be rectified (I never hear anything otherwise). Just let me know here, or via PM.

Awesome ppe! - MythForums downloads were one of my primary dl sources. It's always good to have multiple sources for important stuff.

I cant find anyone to play with one ADT (alien dark tide) baak or anyone else know if there is a solo ADT??? if not i think it would be a good idea to make one.

If you like my idea on ADT ill be more than happy to wright some one up a storyline or two so let me kow what you think

That lameass MadDog says the speeds suck, but I've been maxing out the download speed of my DSL at 4Mbps.... I d/l'ed the artsound.gor for tfl in no time at all.

I haven't played these, but here's a zip of a couple ADT Solos made by folks after Strangelet released it - read the readme on the one since it appears you do NOT use the tagset but the included plugins combined instead. May or may not work with 1.6 - haven't tried - but worth a shot:

About that Line of Fire:

I believe that just uses the marines from ADT with new specials in a marine vs marine combat. Im not familiar with ADT (no one plays it anymore...) but I have played LOF alot, its really great. I think that the latest version released by Battlenipple is LOFend.zip.

I have since kind of taken over the project, and am working on a LOF2. Its still very beta but it has 5 coop levels in it. Im not really good at fear so it needs some work balancing out the gameplay/specials. I have got sidetracked a bit from this project though... I could definately use any help anyone wants to give, story or fear stuff or anything.

Don't know if you'd care to know, but there is a plugin that lets you play ADT as a tagset for the origional solo levels.

You can find it on udogs' Hotline:
hl.udogs.net

You'll need a hotline client to log on. You'll find it in User Uploads --> Rama's Folder.

That would be the last version released. It is a stand-alone plug, so you do NOT need the origional ADT tagset to play. I think all the info is there in a readme or the ingame hints (can't remember).

Special Note: The ADTFireMaps that are zipped with the tagset just allow for fire on some maps that are normally not flammable (aliens get torched easy). I think it fixes a script problem on Gate's of Storms as well.
