1.6 freezing on my mac

Hiya, I recently decided trying to install Myth onto my (relatively) new Mac. It's about two years old, and therefore meets the requirements for the game by far. The installation and upgrade from 1.5 to 1.5.1 went smoothly, no problem whatsoever. However, whenever I login to pm.net and try any kind of action whatsoever, the game freezes and after a minute or so I get booted back to my desktop.
I updated the game to 1.6 today, but no improvement. I managed to load a single player map past "copying from cd", but then the same thing happened. I can not access control settings, watch films, join/create multiplayer games, etc. Hope you guys can help out,
Ludde

Do a full installation and not a small install.

Yeah and after that fresh full installation update with 1.6 (don't need any 1.5 or 1.5.1).

I think macs still need 1.5.1 first. At least, that's how I do it. Install from disk from 1.5.1 then update to 1.6 (Since 1.6 lacks install from disk).

ah, now I remember:
I sent the installer from my old comp to my new one, seeing how the new computer doesn't support that specific classic mac environment, and thus I can't open the CD's installer and do a full install.

You don't actually have to use the installer. You can just copy the game straight from the CD to your computer.

yeah, but that way ill get 1.4.3, and ill still have to use the updater(s), wont I, so there's no difference?

You can get the original full install of Myth II by just copying the files. Then you can use the updaters, which don't require Classic, to bring it to 1.6.

Uh oh...that doesn't bode well for your CDs. Seems wierd that they would all be busted though...

Not really. I've had several CD's refuse to copy a file. It's usually been small install for me, but the point still stands it is busted.
What worked for me oddly enough, was making a disk image. It wouldn't copy the files, but it would make a new disk with good files. Weird. Worth a try though. Otherwise I could probably put them up for temporary download.
