Importing textures ?
Is it possible to import textures used for grass and other terrains in actual myth maps so i can use them to make my own bitmaps/colourmaps?
Re: Importing textures ?
not really. the textures are all merged together with shadows and transition from one to another. if you have nerves of steel and a good eye you might be able to borrow some textures from existing maps (I borrowed some basic floor patterns from Ibis Crown and The Baron in my 'The Quad' map), but you have to manually 'cut' little pieces of patterns out of the larger color map and fudge with them (sometimes quite) a bit to get a nice repeating texture that doesn't look like crap.Myrkridia Slayer wrote:Is it possible to import textures used for grass and other terrains in actual myth maps so i can use them to make my own bitmaps/colourmaps?
If you DO want to try it (better to just use the mapmaking textures on udogs hotline site) open up the map you want to grab textures from in Loathing and under the map(s) menu option select Color Map-Export (or Export-ColorMap - I forget what it's called). Then save the file. It will create a bmp (windows) or pict(mac) file containing the colormap. Then just open the colormap in the image editing app of your choice and go at it.

Soma's Mapmaker's Food are the texture collections I was thinking of. "http://hl.udogs.net/files/Gaming/ Myth Series/Myth II - Soulblighter/Utilities/" (somewhere there's another set that Clem published, but I can't find that at the moment)DarthRevan555 wrote:can you give me the link to the udogs site that has the textures you speak of?
I am sure some of the links are broken, and I had to look around a bit but I looked up the udogs site link at mything.org.
