Intel Mac Os 10.5.5 Myth 2 won't run

Like many before me, I just pulled out an old copy of myth II. I installed it from disk on my Intel Mac using the 1.5.1 installer, and then I updated it by downloading the 1.6 and following the manual update instructions.
I attempt to load Myth II, and this error appears:
"Could not find all the foundational files. Insert CD or do a full install."
All this despite having the CD in the drive.
What do I do?
