How to obtain what I need to play...

I played Myth II years ago, and fell in love with Special Forces. But alas, I no longer have the CD to install and play it anymore and I am dying to get the SF2. I found original CDs at Amazon, but before I buy I want to make sure I can really use the ones they have to build SF2 upon.
Q#1: Myth II CDs are cross-platform, correct? The Amazon listing doesn't say.
Q#2: Can I use the Myth II Worlds CD without the Soulblighter, or The Total Codex, and what are advantages/disadvantages of each of them?
At a glance I don't know if Worlds and Total Codex are merely add-ons, or if they contain the game engine & all. Al I want to do is use my eMac (1 GHz, G4, 1 Gb RAM) for playing Special Forces, preferably version 2.
Any help out there?
