I gathered about 60 odd Oghres and tried to stage an upraising.
The temple is guarded by 2 Iron Trows and there are 3 more at the mines below.
After killing the 2 Trows, the other 3 would slaughter my Oghres. When I'm down to 30+ % of my forces, I would lose.

Does anyone have a good strategy?

I can't help but I CAN tell you that the Oghers lost the war and the Trow's metalworking was the reason for this.

I don't play Myth III much so I can't offer help, all I can tell you is that you're facing units that are, according to GURPS Myth, almost unbeatable.

Well.. still.. I beaten the stage on easy.. now getting thrashed on medium.
If i'm still sane enough after this, I might replay it on hard..
I still need help!

LOADS of ppl have said Myth III was far too hard. You're not alone out there and I see loads of ppl on PlayMyth.net quiting and M3 level complaining and grumbling.

Have u ever met Doug a.k.a. Dougie (login is Dougs) he's willing to help most players with MII and he's one of the most active M3ers there is.

Aha! Someone else who has GURPS Myth. I'm actually considering running a GURPS Myth game in Fudge with a conversion method I've made up.

Anyways, where does it happen to say that in it. I didn't remember it mentioning Iron Trow so I looked about in it and couldn't find it.

Although rereading it has brought up some interesting thoughts on the myth chronology that will surely work in well.

I think Myth3 worked the story in well.

If i can remember my strategy was so:
-some units are runing and Trow is pursuing them, some other units cuts Trow's back. When Trow change his target, runners beacame attackers and attacking units run away. Played on half speed.

Good luck :;):

Theres a horseshoe shaped small platform in the middle of the map. You put your dwarfs on it while bombing the Trow which run after herons.

Don't you get Myrdred on that map?

If so doesn't his main attack hold enemies in place?

Well you can convert plenty of Oghre around the map without getting attacked by Trow. Since one Trow attack kills like 3 of them. Using them to fight is fairly useless really. If you ever get a lone Trow going after your slower units. Dodge a swing with Myrdred and freeze the Trow for a bit. Then you can lead it around again.

You may as well send the converted Oghre back to the start

Do you know what is the winning criteria? It seems that I must kill at least 4 Iron Trows.
In the NE sector, there's another 5-6 Iron Trows, If I attract them, the game is sure to be over.

How about you try seperating the trow using your heron as runners, then get Myrdred to hold one in place while your oghres mob him.
