Editing "Mazzarin's Demise" mesh

I tried to open Mazzarin's Demise v6 with the latest version of Loathing to add in some custom units, but Loathing exits whenever I try. Has the mesh been locked by its creators? Or is there a way I can open it and add units?

I'd like to add in an uber Heron Guard unit in there.

It isn't Mazz v6 it is Mazz 6, like a sequel instead of an update. You can open Mazz 5, though. Mazz surpassed some sort of limit, so it can't be opened using Loathing. VR was just laughing because Mazz already has a ton of units and you wish to add more.

Thanks -- Looks like I will be working with Mazz 5.
Yeah, I know the mesh already has many units but I feel compelled to add a strong Heron Guard unit in there. And it has to be a silver Heron

Asking if you can add more units to Mazz is like asking if you can add more water to the ocean.

the mazz 6 mesh isnt any different from mazz 5,4,3 etc
it was made with a special loathing... think of it like loathing on steroids. it just crashes myth whenever you try to open it with a reg map editor

That's actually not true. It got quite a bit bigger and prettier as it progressed.

The colormap was completely redone I believe in either Mazz 4 or 5.

Yes, and evaporation removes water too. It's a cycle. If someone wanted to add units at the END of mazz to extend the game your comment would be pertinent, but its not.

Please elaborate on your comment above.
I understand that the ocean is big and that water evaporates but you lost me with your comment about extending the game and something about the END.
Please note that the ocean analogy was yours. If you do not find it pertinent, then feel free to use another analogy.

I think VR is trying to say that mazz has lots of units and adding more to them would not add much, since it may already be near the limit of what can be added. As for the comment he made, I think he means since rain over the ocean is part of a cycle, then adding more units after the waves mazz already has would fit in with the rain/cycle part of the comment.
I'm sure VR doesn't mean to demotivate you from messing with maps, he was simply saying mazz already has lots of units.
I forget how close to the limits Mazz is, but just as a reminder... There is a limit of 400 units that can be visible during any one time. There is a limit of 96 different types of units that a mesh can have. (The limit has been raised for the next update, though.) Monster tags that are linked to artifacts for the purpose of intentory count towards that 96 limit.

Pyro -- Thanks for the clarification and the stats on mesh limits.
I added one unit (the Heron Guard unit) to Mazz 5 and everything worked fine.

I forgot to mention, in Loathing if you go to the menu on top.. Mesh... Mesh Limits... it shows you the limits of the mesh. The first number shows where it is at and the second showing the limit. They are separated by a slash.
