How are you doing the horizontal view thing?

It's a custom internal build created specifically for publicizing Myth content. If you're a developer or a keen mapmaker I'm sure you might be able to aquire a copy through Myrd.

Currently I think only Axe and Jon God have this build?

yes, that be true. as far as i know, me and jon have it. and as soon as i am able to talk to one of the devs again, i will add another project to this post, as long as what i need to do can be done. :)

here it is people. the latest funky camera build has the ability to specify a sky color. what this means it, i can take shots like this:

Untitled1.jpg (94.71 KiB) Viewed 2785 times
so soon i will get to work on an actual video showing the great game we call myth. . and now new screenshots with a sky!! :D

Anyone else surprised by how good (read: not sucky) those sprites look from that angle?

Yes, it's quite surprising, given that they were designed for a camera angle ~27 degrees lower.

myth's highest camera angle is more like 40-45 degrees, but all units are rendered at around 25

they do look good. and although the ground cuts off at a point, it still looks rather decent.

the feet though, are the only "funny looking" parts

that view was taken right out of the game.

Not very practical to play in that view anyway.
