Newcomer/Restarter Help

Hi, I'm catseye & new to Myth in 21 C. The last time I played was Windows 98 SE!
But I'm glad the Genre is alive, I downloaded a demo of Myth II-rolled the tutorial & it blew me away. (I even remembered the commands after 10/20 seconds of playing).
I now run Mac 10.5.8 but all my Bungie Myth are PC/Mac Classic:-no chance installing.
I've found Myth III OS X today & Installed-downloaded the patch from The Tain, seems to be lookin' good.
But people I need some advice:-
1. The cutscenes for Myth III in Q/time download, will they work straight away by dropping them in the movies folder. Or will the movies already there need to be removed first?
2. Where can I get, & what versions should I get of Myth I & II to run on my Mac now, to get back up to speed & enter the bloodbath again.
I will appreciate any help anyone of you can offer, to get me through this transitional period of catch-up inability

The 1.5.1 update for Myth II comes with an installer for Mac OSX to grab the files from the CD to install it on your computer. After that update to 1.7. Then you can get the 1.7.1 public beta. Once 1.7.1 is finally done it will have a similar installer as the 1.5.1 already comes with.

The Myth Starter Guide might have some other answers for future questions you might have.

Thanks PYRO

All the best,

Hmmm not sure if the TFL 1.5 update has an installer. But... you might be able to just copy/paste the files from the CD to a Myth_TFL folder.

Myth 2 has a "vTFL" (virtual TFL) mode which makes Myth 2 behave like TFL. Magma even released The Fallen Levels, a plugin of the TFL single player maps. Magma also released the TFL Multiplayer Mappack for TFL multiplayer maps. Both can be found in the Tain. You can even download the TFL interface and go to your prefs in M2 and make it look like TFL.

Why do you keep including those links that lead to nowhere?
