uDogs Hotline not able to be viewed in Browsers

Try using 'hl.udogs.net' in a browser window, you get: "Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress."

Can we fix that please? Along with the ability to use /find again on the Hotline?

As it stands, the only way to download files now is connecting with a hotline client, which a lot of people don't have.

BEAR MY CHILDREN!

Seriously though, most people know of just using 'hl.udogs.net', and don't know the extra stuff.

Most people navigate to udogs via direct links. As pyro pointed out, at least navigating to "/files" does the trick for the moment.

Additionally, for searching use the google "site:" feature. It works pretty well.

I will get around to fixing at least one of these eventually.

Sorry, but just now a real world example happened where that isn't true.

Spa was trying to get to the uDogs H/L through the Web Browser. He had no idea why it wasn't working or what to do to fix it.

A real world answer would be to tell them to add "/files" to the end of it.

Just because you keep bringing it up, doesn't mean it will get fixed faster. When DA has the time, he will do it.

They have a number of options:

1) Read this thread. I provided several workarounds that are trivial

2) Ask any of the HL regulars they may see around. If they aren't familiar with hotline familiars, why are they digging through the files?

3) Connect to hotline and access the files the traditional way.

None of these are difficult or problematic. Spa is a sharp cookie, I do not doubt he would have figured this out in short order had your wisdom not happened upon him.

I will fix it when I have time.
