My computer:

Vista/ATI HD 4850/core 2 duo/lots of ram/etc

Problem: While full screen in game I can not alt tab out of Myth without ctrl-alt-del.
Graphic settings:
1920x1200
3d fog/anistropic filtering/opengl/ MAX-FPS: 90

Before 1.7.1 I had never used Max FPS and this alt tab problem happened. When 1.7.1 came out I did not initially use Max FPS and the alt tab and other opengl problems had gone away.

I decided to try out Max FPS and have discovered that I am once again unable to alt tab out while playing a game of Myth. I turn off Max FPS and alt tabbing works again.

It would seem Max FPS is mucking up alt tabbing some how.. I would guess related to however open gl/ati/3d fog was before 1.7.1.

Because alt-tab works fine on other similar setups, I think it's most likely not a problem with Myth itself. Are you running the latest catalyst drivers for vista for your 4850?

Totally up-to-date on drivers. Vista up-to-date.

Are you getting your drivers straight from ATI (that link above) or indirectly through windows update?

Does alt-tab work fine in other games (do those games use OpenGL)? Does it work in Myth II 1.6?

Does it work if you use the Software renderer? How about D3D?
