You know what time it is ladies and gentlemen, MWC season, and with that on our minds we've got a little more time on our hands to play myth. Welcome to the Myth Summer Olympics 2010.
We've got 6 events open for registration at the moment, so be sure to click join us to register yourself to the website (be accurate on which events you intend to compete in. The day registration ends will be when all players will be registered for their events. We are accepting late entries up until the evening as seen on the calender of the website, of course.
Matches for the first games will be beginning shortly after registration ends and players are seeded.
This tournament is open to all players, whether you play myth only, play all games that are there, or only like to mess around in Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2 and are looking to get some experience under your belt. Be sure to register on the forums located here:
Myth Olympic Events:
* Myth 2 FFA Tournament
* Myth 2 2v2/3v3 Tournament
* Myth 2 1v1 Tournament
* Myth 2 TFFA Tournament
* Halo 3 FFA Tournament
* Modern Warfare 2 FFA Tournament
Maps are up and are subject to change depending on the total amount of people who enter this tournament. Results and Stats will list all players and which games they have entered. Players not participating in certain games will have a (-) next to their names.
There are currently positions open for other possible olympic events, but they would need hosting. This would have to be done with help by other members of the community but are welcome to become additions in overall olympic scores. Some ideal options are:
Raid
Fetchball
World War 2
Blue & Grey
that game that shai cu and ska used to play religiously with the super units
Renwoods crappy units
vTFL
etc
possibly Co-op if there is an option to do a new mdq and save the stats at a closed time at the end of the olympics, but that would also be a possible great way for the marius.net admins to chip into the fun and games.
If you want to put in a position for those or others (and set up a sensible tournament structure, its not hard) let me know, and this can be a real 'Olympic' session for the myth community. That scheduling could with this one, but the idea is you'll be able to participate in whatever you've wanted to. This game has survived over a decade it is time to cherish in its glory once again. Enjoy yourselves.
