Today I had reconstructive ligament surgery on a flexor tendor and cartilage group in my right hand. I have had the injury for the past couple years, but now it has finally put me out of mything action. It was painful to play with, because my clicking strategy required the constant use of the ligament that was severed in my hand. I attribute that to my decline in performance lately, and because of my connection/computer issues, I have only been able to play at a 5-ball level. In 3 months or so I shall begin rehab, and I will return to myth, stronger than ever, now that my main tool will be healed to its original glory. I will get back to my 7 ball performance as demonstrated in MWC 08' and perhaps even go beyond that if I ever decide to upgrade my hardware. (MWC 08' was my last performance before I injured my hand, so everything afterward deserves an asterix, because I was playing with a badly damaged hand).
The swelling had gotten so bad that my middle finger knuckle looked like a giant marble or cyst protruding out of it. The reason I came back to play these past several months was only because I was told I couldn't make the injury any worse than what it already was, so I sacrificed pain in order to benefit the myth community. My hand required several icing sessions after mything hardcore, and required a warm-up session prior to mything activities that including hot water and epsom salts, as well as a deep tissue massage and stretching.
