Hey guys OB here.
I purchased a new dell 8400 with windows xp and a radeon x300 pci card. I got this thing out of the box eager to get myth up and running after 5 yrs on the old dell xps I had. And now the game is nearly unplayable.
The problem I am having is approximatley once per minute the game freezes up for around 3 seconds. The overall response time seems to be slower also. It feels just like when your antivirus software kicks and and starts scanning, but, there is nothing running that I can find that would cause such a disturbance.
I am running the connection through a linksys router and a wireless pci card.
My dl speeds are much higher than they were and I have worked on the connection looking for problems and I cannot find any.
I have a good 15 hours into trying to get the game running right and I have not had any sucess.
If there is any input or ideas you all may have (being far technolocially inclined than myself) it would be greatly appreciated. The comp I have is pretty much to play myth with, and with no myth....I feel like sending it back.
