Windows 7 Myth 2 cd Installer pain

So I got a new computer recently, which means reinstall Myth 2, so I run the installer from the Myth 2 cd, and it all installs in the right place until this message appears at the end of the installation: "Needs Windows NT service pack 3" .

Click ok and all the files it "installed" disappear.

Tried again, this time the install is quicker (like it is on the machine and it is just moving the files from a different location), message comes up again and click ok, then it is all gone again.

Now I managed to get all the files by copying them and pasting them into a new folder before clicking ok at the end of the installation, but I'm pretty sure the damned installer has the original files hidden somewhere on the computer taking up space. Does anyone know what temporary folder it is using (it doesn't seem to be Appdata/local/temp).

I haven't tried the installer on windows 7, but you can always do a manual install if need be. Just make a Myth II folder and copy the "tags" folder from the CD into the new folder. Then run the latest update directed to that new folder.
