The question is kind of subjective to the person answering it. I can imagine someone who is very familiar with 3DS Max might tell you that downloading a pre-textured, pre-animated file is going to be extremely easy to produce into a unit. Someone who has never used 3DS Max (like yourself or myself) will tell you that there is always a learning curve to operating a high-end application like 3D Studio. Because of this the process will prove to be difficult even if most of the steps are already done (modeling, animating, texturing). The only way to find out if it truely is hard for you is to try it out. There's plenty of step by step guides on how to process unit renders..... have a try and tell us whether it's easy or not?

Nope. I was just asking if someone felt like making a new HD Villager, from scratch.

Attn all Mythers,
This year, I would like to learn how to create units M2. but I have no idea how to begin.
I would ask, a walkthrough basics:
- Need to have Mac PC?
- What 3d program?
- Inserting the units in folders tool FEAR?
(collection references, collections, monsters, objects, groups projectile, projectiles, units.)
Finally, I would like a easy tutorial.

Hi Charles, and all,
I downloaded the tutorial "The Strange Way to Make Units" link.carlinho7.tripod.com
in the introduction the author of Sir Strangelet TMBM, list the tools you need:
<< This tutorial will use Bryce 4, Poser 4, Photoshop 5.5, Fear, and amber 2.05b - .>>
everything on this list, I have, and I downloaded the Udogs.net. the amber 2.05b, but is not running on my WIN XP ...
why? the amber PC runs on Mac?
ie, to create good units need a the PC mac?

Amber only runs in Mac Classic (OS 9).

you can now use OAK in windows to do the same things amber did
so basically get OAK (you would need to be accepted as beta testers I believe for Magma)
and with it you can import bitmaps and create collections, same way (slightly different interface) than with Amber.

Carlinhos,
all thanks.
Ok, yesterday encountered in Hotline, the Melekor, and Points, and Pyro.
I downloaded the "Oak".
I'm now studying the "OAK", to learn how it works.

"the Melekor, and Points, and Pyro"
The Melekor and Point is multiplying.
At least pyro is still 'just' pyro.
