Also Searching for a Plug in

This is my first time visiting your forums. I'll cut all my back-story out and get right to my question: Is there a Plug-in that allows you to play through the solo campaigns of either TFL or Soulblighter using whatever units you want? Or even a units point-buy system?

Thank you

No, there is not as far as I know. If you have a specific set of units in mind you could try opening Loathing (a Myth tool) up and adding them in. Or you could make a tagset using Fear (another Myth tool) where you open the unit tags and make them link to something else. This way you replace all warriors with berserks or whatever you want.

Probably not quite what you meant, but there's also Baak's "Solo Anywhere" plugins that let you play the regular myth solo campaign with Alien Dark Tide, Marathon, MythWarrior, Wild West, or Worlds Collide units.

[available here on theTain or at orderofhpak.com]

There are some plugins that are called tagsets (you can find them in the category tagsets of The Tain). As said vinylrake just above, There are several types, with different themes: Second World War, American Civil War, Wild West, aliens, ancient japan troops and much more...

I advise you, as pyro said, to learn using the tool Fear (very easy)

-open your fear, and find the folder "units"
-search such as "fetch" and double click on the file (a small window with two drop down boxes appears)
-One is Monster (is the unit associated with this)
-Another is Reference Collection (is the collection of images of this unit, sprites that make visible the character. some of them you can customize the colors at will)

-In this example, if you change the Fetch Monster for example by a Warlock. Thereafter, in the original missions where fetchs appeared, now will be replaced by warlocks. This can be fun, I assure, but can cause an imbalance between the two teams, both in their favor, or as against you (you choose the difficulty you want to challenge)

Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question. I think I'm going to give "Loathing" a look, and see what that's all about.

I want to do an illustration project, where I play the games and illustrate the story along the way--but that's already been done by the original artists. So I thought it might be neat to adjust the Light characters a little bit, and retell the story based on those characters' experiences through the two wars.

Level balance might get screwed up for better or worse, and i'll try to develop a unit-point system to maintain some semblance of balance, but I'm more concerned with character continuity for these purposes.

Again, thank you all very much--I am so-super-surprised there are still other fans of this game out there, 13 years later.
