"networking is unavailable because open transport is not install

I hope this reaches someone. and i can get a response.
I am an old time myth 2 player and just recently tried to get it to work on my mac, using yosemite. I had an old copy, 1.7 on my website server so i re downloaded it. got myth to boot in windowed mode only, BUT
it says...
"networking is unavailable because open transport is not installed on this machine"
so how do i install open transport, or is this something else i need to install, do....
hope someone can help. I would love to get back to killing some myth creates

OK so i updated to 1.8, and it worked, as open transport was discontinued before mavericks os.
but now i forgot my marius net log in info....shit!
