Wow. That's pretty fucking sweet guys. Keep up the awesome work, really looking forward to playing some of that. How well could those greek units pass for roman ones?

I've had this concept of a coloseum map in my head for ages, and those units look like they'd be perfect for it. I also had a solo level planned out for it too... If you guys were ever thinking of doing a solo in this package, contact me.. I might be interested in working on a side project other than TFV as long as it was only 1 map. Looking fantastic guys. keep it up!

Hey Graydon!
Thanks for the compliments!
I respond for both Unkfoldt and myself, thanks!!!!

Yes we are planning on doing solo levels as well as multiplayers.
It's a really ambitious plan, to do lots of new units and new maps.
Specially at this time when myth interest goes down by the second.

So far I'm doing the units both in poser, amber and fear, and Unkfoldt is doing the color & displacement maps.
We have 2 maps so far, out of maybe 5 we'll do(Thermopylae, a persian desert for maybe a battle on the dunes, and a port city where hoplites would invade or defend)
and 4 of the classical greece units (out of 9)
and all of the ancient greece units (total of 6)

It takes a long time as I work long hours and Unkfoldt is busy too...but if you are interested let me know! It's great to have some help! specially when I finish the units and I start with level design and scripting.
I know how to script pretty well, but I don't think I have the time and patience to do so....hehe

Well guys, give me a shout sometime when you reach scripting stage... those units look like tons of fun to work with, so I'd totally be down for helping script a map or two maybe (depending how far along TFV development is at that point). Shoot me a PM on hotline, or here, or on TFV forums when you hit that stage. Keep up the great work :)

Will this come with a conversion too?

not so sure what a conversion is, sorry about my ignorance...
is that a way it can change all existing units in actual myth solo maps to this units, like a tagset?
If so I have no clue as how to do it but could be possible.

Oh yeah...heh, I guess tagset would have been a more accurate word. I have no idea how it is done, but I imagine you just make a plug where you loaded all your units and the like into the normal myth units (changed all the warrior stuff to be hoplites, etc). Well, it's gonna rule no matter what, so whatever!

A tagset is easy to set up once you have all your units. Just go into fear's "units" folder. Let's say you want to change a warrior to a hoplite. Just open up the warrior unit tag, and change both the monster and collection reference to the hoplite. From then on, every warrior will appear as a hoplite if you have the tagset activated. Do the same thing with every other unit type and you have a full tagset.

allright then!
that's easy!
just don't know if the units would make it fair or evenly match just by replacing them though as there was no gunpowder in ancient times and I want to keep it as accurate as possible to reality and don't want any wizards or magicians.
so a unit that kills many with a single blow would not be available.
So I see this plugin as a plugin created within its own universe created specially for it.
uuuhhh I'm getting poetic...hhehehe
anyways we can try for sure!
You bet

Thanks for all the compliments, help, and feedback. I think carlinho speaks too highly of me for the fact that he does all the breathtaking work on the units. I just try to make the maps worthy of the new sprites. :)
