New install of Myth

The external drive I was running Myth from has gone belly up. New drive with a new Mac but apparently I shouldn't have formatted a spinner drive as APFS. Anyway I was able to recover a fair number of files but the game app itself won't run giving me a must reinstall message. What's the current best practice for installing a clean copy of Myth on a machine that is too new to run the installer on the CD ?

what if you keep what you managed to bring over from the backup- and use the patches here?

I was hoping to try to use the new 1.8.5 installer to see if that would fix it, do you have a link for that?

Download the lastest update, it also lets you install from the CD.
