carl, i might recommend you tone down on the units' shadows if you don't have a particular reason for them being so huge, but beyond that minor quibble, they look fantastic.
keep up the good work.

The units look very large. Are all of those pictures at the closest zoom?
They do look lovely.
...and please, do not shine your shields in my direction. It is rude.

and that horrible actor that portrayed alexander the great too!!!!!!!!
hehehehe
thanks mir, the shadows do look a little bit big I'll change that.
regarding size that's the maximum zoom in, units are 10% bigger than regular units, it's just that the detail of the sprites is x 10 times bigger.
glad you liked them!

uhhh...
you know ambition sets you up for a looong trip hehehe
so the project is ambitious as I'm doing ALL units from scratch.
And some units as Hoplites (heavy Greek infantry) can pick up swords and spears, thus they have different sprite animations when walking barehanded, walking with swords and with spears.
and they fight differently with them(shield bash when without weapon, sword thrust with sword, and spear stab with spear)
Unkfoldt is finishing Thermopylae map...
I would say half a year at least for the first beta...
Hope the myth community flame is still alive when the moment comes!
the only thing that keeps me doing it is that you are still around guys!

No, no! Brad Pitt played Achilles. Colin Farrell played Alexander the Gay.

You are probably running Windows, right? .sit files are compressed files made with StuffIt - an app used primarily on Macs. It's similar to a compressed .zip file. You can decompress .sit files with StuffIt Expander.
Stuffit Expander for Windows Here
Stuffit Expander for Macintosh here

.sit is a better compression method than .zip, slightly...but not so many people can open them.
