I was wondering if you guys ever had this weird issue. I have a pretty serious PC but for some reason I get 18-24 FPS most of the times, and 30 only in a few locations such as the Baron. It's so strange, because I can run Oblivion at 40+ FPS but Myth2 fps sucks.
Any ideas?

What video card do you have? What rendering option are you using (OpenGL / DirectX?)? Do you have any FSAA overrides or the like set in the control panel of your video card?

GeForce 7900 GT and I was using OpenGL with the "High Resolution" feature on.

Those settings seem good. You should be getting way higher FPS - check your control panel or tray icon for your video card to see if you have FSAA set to 4x or 8x or something ... which can be turned off to achieve higher frame rates.

Yeah, as I said, I run Oblivion at 30+ fps on maximum settings (and my resolution is 1280x1024 in every game), I'd expect Myth II to run at 200+ fps all the time, but for some reason it's stuck on 18-26. I tried changing between direct3d and opengl and it still didn't change much. It's very weird, maybe it has something to do with the way the gfx engine was originally coded. In fact it never goes above 30..
