Re: Forgot this mod

hmm that sounds vageuly familiar, but if you want a REALLY fun coop, there's this map i remember playing, i don't remember the name of it, but it was set outdoors and it had trees, and some water near the middle, and there were a lot of monsters you had to defeat and at one point a bunch of them li...

Re: mauriac's tale for myth 2

Great, remind everyone of a post I made that everyone disapproved of all over again (even if I do stand by my points).

Re: LP Archive Myth TFL Review

It says something about how slow the myth community reacts to change when someone "hasn't gotten around" to something that was released in 2001, and arguably was the most important moment in myth history in the last decade XD (which it was, Myth's popular appeal disappeared post-M3)

Re: myth 3 and admiration for magma

I've opened a can of worms with this hypothetical, haven't I! Oh well, it's good discussion, regardless of if it has any real value. Well, 1.3.x had certain maps made for it which required 1.3/1.3.1 to run. Clem ported some of the Creation maps, and I think some classic TFL ones possibly? (I might b...

Re: Myth II 1.7.2 Final

It'll feel so weird if we ever get to Myth II 2.0. And we're creeping closer.

Re: myth 3 and admiration for magma

That's all pretty much what I thought, but it answers my question - if Magma were ever to decide to update Myth III, the option would be there and it wouldn't be like learning an entire new game all over again or anything nearly as complicated. It was more your options I was curious about, what you'...

Re: myth 3 and admiration for magma

Curious, how complex/difficult is Myth III to code, and where does Magma stand in terms of being "allowed" to update it (i.e. has Magma got permission to update the entire Myth franchise, and just chooses not to, or what)? I only ask because if there were a time when future systems made My...

This was a good while after he'd left Myth, but I guess all people can mellow. Also, what voiceover?

And I play Myth more than once a year! I've been on twice this week, for like 5 games each time. THIS IS DOUBLE YOUR STATISTIC SIR.

Re: So, like, why isn't there a free Myth?

Their website has a phone number, postal address and e-mail address. E-mail tends to be the least productive method of contacting companies, despite being most convinient - they just don't take anything so seriously at that level. I doubt whoever they have at the end of the phone is likely to be the...

Re: So, like, why isn't there a free Myth?

Nah it's cool, I getcha - I did consider the MWC note one of the least likely ideas to be of much use, but I was just throwing everything out there to see what we have to work with because it's only once every rock has been turned over we can give up. As for MWC2011...I just don't have the time. Nor...

Re: So, like, why isn't there a free Myth?

I'd guess industry insiders - and we must know some within Myth - would know the correct channels to use. Again, I'm using my knowledge of business models within the music industry to judge. When bands ask Andy Copping, festival promoter for Download Festival and other Live Nation festivals, if they...

Re: So, like, why isn't there a free Myth?

Zak's just trying to point out Take2 might be happy to put TFL/Myth II (I suppose we'd ask about TWA while we were at it?) up as abandonware/freeware. The real difference between the two is freeware tends to be distributed by the owner, abandonware's more when they just say "oh do what you bloo...

Re: myth II growing the community

I meant server, typo. I count being "on Myth" as being in the lobby, which at this point means MariusNet. I just meant the Facebook group has rapidly become a more thriving hub of the Myth community. We were infact discussing on there, how while the group is drawing people from a long time...

Re: Myth: Avons Hope LIVE ACTION Myth Fan Film on YOUTUBE

If Myth ever becomes truly nice to be a part of, I think it'll get so dull. It still feels like home while it's like this.

Re: myth II growing the community

The Myth Community Facebook group, since getting upgraded to the new format for groups (giving improved interactivity), now gets more traffic from members of the Myth Community than here, or the MariusNet game itself. A lot of people have been tempted into returning to the fold by that group - if yo...
