I'm getting an "Installed Failed" while extracting the files. For the OSX Installer. Upgrading my 446 build on a 10.7.5 machine.

Re: Myth II 1.8.2 Public Beta

What build tools are you using to create builds for PPC, Intel, Windows and Linux? Is it a single tool or are you compiling the same source on multiple platforms?

Re: how do a paint in a color map like this ... ?

And remember Bungie had professional artists working on these for days. For my crappy unreleased maps I use GIMP because it's at least as feature rich as Photoshop was in 1998. Also, check out the pinned post in this very forum from Deadman about mapmaking. He put it up there after I tracked him dow...

Antero

So, I was running the PC version of Antero through the online disassembler at http://www.onlinedisassembler.com/ because I remembered that IronDuke has said that he's permanently lost the source code. I went into the readme and there's a bit there that got me thinking. "huge thanks to Synapsed ...

A Steam account is easy Point. Annoying to have to create another login, but so easy. Just give them your email address and pick a password and you're done. You have a Steam account.

Hey Vinyl, I concur with Revan and JonGod. But more emphatically. I will pay for it to stay up. Or if you are uninterested in even the administrivia, want a clean break from the distraction or what have you let me know and I'll pay to have it mirrored somewhere. Aside from all the content and nostal...

Re: 1.8 OpenGL slowdown?

Hmm. I've lowered my Texture Cache to the same as the reported VRAM on this machine (64MB) and performance seems to have significantly improved. Intel GMA 950: Chipset Model: GMA 950 Type: Display Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x27a2 Revi...

Re: 1.8 OpenGL slowdown?

I switched the resolution to 1600x900 on 1.8. I increased my texture cache to 512. I also turned Motion Interpolation back off (it was the first thing I tried originally, but was reset when I re-installed 1.8). Still bad. Perhaps worse even. Got some straight freezes during camera rotation. This Mac...

Re: 1.8 OpenGL slowdown?

Well comparing Spa's Mythlog and mine I can see the poweruser setting have no effect. Since I have those three things shut off and Spa does not. Also Spa's video card supports Open GL 2.1 whereas mine only supports 1.2. I've played enough games with Spa for enough hours to know we are experiencing t...

Re: 1.8 OpenGL slowdown?

I use the poweruser file and have tried every build of 1.8 that would actually run on my machine (ie, 410 and up). They all have the same problem. When the action gets intense, that is many enemies on the map, the frame rate drops down horribly slow. I've seen as slow as 6 FPS.
