Re: mythextract - future proofing Myth tools
I've pushed a few updates today: * Support for Myth II sound tags in tag2aifc.py * New script called mono2tag.py that exports individual tag files from monoliths like "artsound.gor" and "international large install". Works on both TFL and SB files. These tools are now replacement...

Re: Currently Updated Myth Tools List
What’s the latest on this? I feel like a lot of the tools that were working before have since failed. I posted another thread about a (currently small) project I’ve started to future proofing Myth tooling: https://tain.totalcodex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7642 Any ideas for more tools that need some...

Re: mythextract - future proofing Myth tools
I’d definitely be curious to take a look at Oak, I may or may not be able to put a lot of work into it, but getting it open sourced would be amazing.

mythextract - future proofing Myth tools
Hello, long time! I've just published a new project on Github called mythextract https://github.com/jwheare/mythextract It currently includes one script, tag2aifc.py which exports AIFC sound files from Myth: The Fallen Lords SOUN tag files. It also includes a documentation of the binary tag format ....

Re: Smell that?
Thanks a lot guys, worked perfectly with Oak. Ambience couldn't seem to load the tag after UnTagging, just got an empty dropdown and 3 empty input boxes, do things have to be in specific expected folders and with specific file extensions to work? Only just saw these responses as I don't check the fo...

Smell that?
Hi, I'm trying to get my hands on a sound file that the Berserks used to say in the prerelease version of Myth TFL (and was possibly reintroduced in a version of vTFL at some point) "Smell that?" Grasshopper was telling me about it, but I can't seem to work my old process for extracting au...

Early Designs for The Tain

Hehe, people *are* arguing that they aren't up to par with the built in maps, because some of them aren't :) Also, what constitutes a Bungie map? No one can seem to agree on that one either. Also, there are maps that some people consider *better* than those maps, some of which weren't even completed...

This thread highlights the fact that no one can agree on what are good criteria for inclusion. Worthiness? Canon? How good the creators are at promoting their stuff? Whether they were created by someone who knew some dude who interned at Bungie once? Call me a traditionalist, but what's the point in...
