Re: Myth mod for 0AD

Nod, I checked the game that you propose : is interesting but sounds like "MYTH total war" that the other day, a myth friend Briarius released a beta. http://tain.totalcodex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5134 wanting to have huge armies battle when we all know Myth's gameplay is about...

Re: Myth mod for 0AD

irc.quakenet.org #0ad-dev < leper> I'd say all the answes in that topic are still valid < leper> Some of the movement code questions (units blocking each other) could depend on Philip`s pathfinder rewrite though. < leper> The formation stuff sounds definetly doable in js < leper> some stuff later in...

Re: Myth mod for 0AD

As a general rule, if a topic about changing an app/game/mod goes silent and there's been no updates or news about the features it's safe to assume nothing has changed. There are exceptions of course, the devs could be merrily coding away in silence - but even then, if they haven't released their w...

Re: Myth 2 on ARM

Android/ARM/IOS all require OGL ES so that seems to be the first step for porting to any of those platforms. Once mythii has OGL ES support it should "just work" on the pi. Adding OGL ES support to mythII gets you on the pi "for free". Porting to the pi requires changing from OGL...

Re: Myth mod for 0AD

I played a lot OAD, from the beginning and first demos out it's really cool. but even though the graphics look amazing the feel is really different from a myth game...more like AOE where units behave more in groups than individually Yes see: http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14...

Re: Myth 2 on ARM

The best Linux ARM device to target is the Raspberry Pi (not inculding Android here). Raspberry Pi has some real momentum, there are 750,000 of them out there right now and lots of them are in the hands of children (who like to play games). They even have their own app store: http://store.raspberryp...

Re: Myth mod for 0AD

Nod, I guess that sounds interesting ... but how do a test? there needs to be a test to get us an idea if we'll be good ... Julio Well downloading and installing 0AD [1] would be a good start. You can get a feel for the engine and see the quality of the units and maps and you will probably notice h...

Myth mod for 0AD

I have been playing a cool new open source RTS called 0AD [1] which is like an up to date Age of Empires. I keep thinking it would make a good engine on which to make a myth mod. Turn out someone else had the same idea [2]. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to have gone anywhere. Still thought it would b...

I can confirm that this segfault no longer occurs in the v1.8-Dev - Build 411 Linux build.

Re: Myth 1.8

So far the 1.8 betas have just been for Windows and Mac (You're actually the first person who has expressed any interest in testing it on Linux), but we can start making Linux builds as well starting with the next beta. I'll add you to the group now so you can get it when it comes out. Great I will...

Re: Myth II 1.7.2 Released for Linux!

As an owner and player of the Loki port I want to say thank you very much! I have been waiting for this for a long time. I have been playing again for the last three weeks and having a blast. Some people really appreciate the work you guys put in. I am just sorry I didn't notice it sooner. I agree t...
