Re: Install System-wide in Linux

It is still dropping a user file in the tags directory.
That is going to be more difficult to stop.

Does Myth not have any command line switches to select a user directory ?

Re: blurry objects

I used to use the nVidia drivers before. They did not support my Video Card in the current drivers, I am directed to the legacy drivers that may not be maintained. The recommended driver did not work. I was using a driver that supposedly was for a different card. The nVidia drivers did not support t...

Bug reports vaporware

I was told I should make a bug report.

There was line in the news that said make any bug reports to the 1.8.3 BETA thread,
but that thread is LOCKED.

There is no bug report system to be found.
So, is there any place to send bug reports ?

Re: Install System-wide in Linux

Sorry, got interrupted. I made a script to allow individual users to have their own preferences. One problem remains, that it must copy the binary to each individual user. If it tries to execute the copy in /usr/local/games, it will try to use all the directories in /usr/local/games. If any user pla...

Install System-wide in Linux

I have been trying to install Myth2 into /usr/local/games/ as a system wide resource. This means giving each player their own preferences, saved_games, and recordings. This is proving difficult to do. I was getting an error message that the "directory is read-only", and it was not. It was ...

Re: blurry objects

In preferences/powerusers.txt UseShaders=false This fixes the OpenGL drawing, with my video card, which being a business class video card, probably does not have the full shader capability as Myth2 is using it. It is very difficult to tell the difference between software render and OpenGL render. Th...

Re: blurry objects

Attached is screenshot of the tutorial. Notice that the barrels next to the windmill are just blurry translucent rectangles, along with all the other objects. Yes, I know I can play at changing the driver. I really do not have much choice on drivers, it is either bad for one thing or bad for the oth...

blurry objects

I have blurry objects when using OpenGL. Characters are a pink semi-transparent blurry rectangle. Other objects are semi-transparent blurry rectangles of smaller size and color. The background (ground and windmill) display fine. The status line and text are clear and sharp. Only the moving objects a...
