Re: Guide to Playing Myth in 2021

Great guide!

Though looking at the GateOfStorms server, it seems nowadays most games are either coop or WW2 mod games. I'm in a pretty bad time zone though, so who knows.

Thanks for the continued support, it's really appreciated!

I know we are few, but Myth is still a very dear game for me an others.

Re: Ranged Multi Targeting in Myth II: SB

I see, thanks for the answer. Feels weird to have "features" like this removed in a sequel.

I guess it's one more item to my list of why I like Myth: TFL more than Myth: SB :P.

Ranged Multi Targeting in Myth II: SB

Ok, the title is probably confusing, so let me explain. I recently started playing again, and this is something that I'm still not sure about. In vTFL (and I think in the original?), you can order a group of archers to attack multiple grouped enemies by SHIFT+Clicking. That way, they don't all fire ...

Re: TFL, vTFL(The Fallen Levels) difference list

- In the secret dorf level, later on you get reinforcements by dorfs parachuting from above. In vTFL, the parachuting animation is bugged for some reason on this level. The dorfs will simple popup from the ground with the parachute animation playing. Works fine for me. I just played it and dorfs fe...

Re: Zoom and TFL 1.5

I don't know about vTFL and TFL differences in gameplay, but I know for a fact that the Fallen Levels plugin for M2 is not 100% accurate. From the top of my head, I can remember 3 things (may something here is inaccurate): - In the second level, the health of the Mayor does not change according to c...

Re: Myth III on legendary difficulty

Funny you should mention bonds, its the only myth level I've never won on leg. It's certainly doable but would be more effort that its worth. Tireces made a recording of him beating the level on leg. Of course it was in singleplayer with save abuse and speed reduction. The replay is here: http://ta...

Re: Myth III on legendary difficulty

Hello mmrnmhrm, Are you using patch 1.3.1? I may be totally wrong here, but I've heard people say that it makes a bunch of gameplay changes, and while it does improve multiplayer, it breaks the singleplayer balance. If there was any balance to being with, anyway. But I do know that some levels are i...

Re: chimera: the warrior

You are totally right about this level. I don't like the last part either... it just screams "bad mission design" for me. Nevertheless, it does make the map hard (in a bad way, though). I think the mission design in Chimera is kinda hit or miss... There's the Warrior level we are talking a...

Re: chimera: the warrior

Chimera is meant to be hard... harder than the standard Myth 2 campaign anyway. I'm pretty sure Legendary difficult was originally meant to be played online with a good number of players (or with save abuse and lowering the speed), and even then you have to micro like crazy. Don't even get me starte...

Re: Missing Entries

I'll upload the latest raisin barn, but i need 5 testers and myself to play test the various gametypes to make sure i didnt fuck up any flags somehow, and some players arent too far from the koth flags/etc. I made some changes and, to the best of my knowledge, everything functions correctly. But I ...

Re: Missing Entries

The RaisinBarn plugin by OogaBooga is still missing. I looked in his HL upload folder and didn't find it there either. Does someone have it lying around somewhere? Or maybe I should contact him directly?

Also, did it ever get past beta status?

Re: Myth TFL Beta 3 Information Found

hmmm... tinkertools doesn't run under 10.2.8, but I can't see the beta in the Terminal app when I do a 'ls -a' so I am guessing maybe the beta wasn't on the Myth TFL CD in the Total Codex pkg? Wow...still running Jaguar?? You're braver than I thought! Can't say for sure about the Total Codex disc -...

Re: Myth TFL Beta 3 Information Found

http://myth.bungie.org/legends/relics/unimplemented.html Which beta version is hidden on the TFL disc? (hidden in tags:Local:myth.beta 11.27.96) Huh? That webpage is the best source of info about Myth:TFL betas. I have read it about a dozen of times, it never gets old . Also, it was fortun...
