Re: "The Dark Approaches..." (Laws of Evil teasers/discussio

The units look fantastic, Khellek. Hopefully you will be able to release one of the classic loose threads in Myth mapmaking this time before CP steals the units again.

Which makes ChrisP's presence on this thread suddenly quite suspicious...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

I hope somebody kind responds to you, Gudadantza. Your post has a lot of questions that are very reasonable, but are issues that exist not because nobody's considered them, but because there are prohibitive difficulties (or lack of interest) behind them. As you imply you know, through some hackish a...

Mazz VI v3 status?

So CP, it's build 5 now? Anybody have comments from the latest version, plans for the next testing time? I'm intrigued to see where it stands now.

Re: Mazz VI: Wisdom of the Mancers

When certain units completely vet and/or level up, they now get "bonus powers". It's not as great as a new level, but still pretty good. The paladin, In addition to the mana refill you reported (and I think some extra ammo) begins to slowly and permanently regenerate health after he gets ...

Re: Mazz VI: Wisdom of the Mancers

Pompey you quit playing long before the twins and never check your MSN anymore. It's true, I haven't taken any time for Myth lately, but Hey, I'm still on MSN sometimes. Just usually unconscious if I'm not changing diapers or making the house habitable. Congratulations, Pompey! And I have a solutio...

Re: Mazz VI: Wisdom of the Mancers

Son of a bitch. CP... I swear. I have newborn twins to take care of now and 20 minutes to read the PM forums is an almost inexcusable luxury, let alone the 3+ hours to play a game of Mazz. So of course, NOW you choose to get v3 going. Fine, well when my boy and girl are crying out in hunger and frus...

I'm uncomfortable with (a:b)^2 = a^2:b^2 without more information. Is there a distributive property of multiplication over ":"? Can we define the ring we're working in a little more rigorously?

In a real, epic zombie outbreak you need longitudinal planning. Remember, the goal #1 is not to kill zombies, it's to avoid dying (or undying, perhaps). If you have a house on stilts or a cabin on a mountain or whatever, you're going to have to make decisions about how to deal with a few important s...

That's from a Fulci movie.. Zombi 2. There was no Zombi 1, but it came out in the era of Italian zombie movies that followed Romero's original. He wanted people to think it was the sequel :) Well worth watching, especially given when it was made.

The more I think about it, lacking some kind of outside agency animating the un/dead, the whole premise of zombies really make no sense. In the classic universe, it's something supernatural that does this. It ranges from completely unexplained to religious zealotry to nuclear fallout. I'm of the op...

Ren those sound like some really exciting developments! Improved AI should definitely make for some more solo/coop map excitement without having to break the bank on scripting length. With the recent move toward all units hitting high res (thank you fortified hooligan et al) it's neat to think about...

Is anyone else's heart warmed by the spirit of cooperation between VR and Ren? It's lovely. As to Fortified, I hope you have "fortified" yourself for this task, as has been mentioned it seems monumental. It sounds like you have the correct mentality behind it though, slow and steady does i...
