Re: Map Actions Reference List
Does anyone know what this does? What is the target in question, and why is this flag useful? It doesn't appear to be valid in the context of a scripted-action. The flag is handled in the same code that handles all movement, which includes moving toward a targeted unit (to attack/heal etc.). If the...

Re: omfg wtf how to use Group Split Up?
I'm still confused, so what exactly are you trying to do? I'm not familiar with TFL scripting, so I don't know what this "Group Split Up" action is meant to do, if you could say then I'm sure there are loads of way to do it in Myth 2.

I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering the post, but are you looking for something to cause units to scatter in different directions? The Rout action may be what you're looking for.

Re: Future of New Myth
Isn't there a big legality issue too? ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
If Take 2 suddenly saw Myth in SC2 they'd be none too happy I think. I bet they'd jump at an obvious chance to sue the pants off of someone to get some return on Myth.

Re: DVD-Rs suck
The DVD drives Apple ships with its computers are actually shockingly bad. I spent £4,500 on a Mac Pro only to get a DVD drive that barely worked (it couldn't exceed 0.5x read) =/ I hope that as soon as you found that problem, you requested a replacement, since I would assume it was still under wa...

Re: Interface:The Dialogue Color Pixel Strip And What It Affects
Ah, if that makes brown (5) list disabled text, then I'm not sure of any instances where this actually used? Possibly in the net-games list for games that are in progress? Pink (8) would correspond to the loading bar, does that one actually work though? I was under the impression that that couldn't ...

Re: A Few Problems
MythDev/FlyingFlip Hotline had the Myth II cutscenes in .mov at one point, unless I am mistaken. They did, but I am not so sure about the TFL cutscenes. The had the TFL ones too, but in .mp4, I have them, they're awful. The sound-quality just ruins them, and the picture is dreadful. You'd be better...

Whatever they are, when they work they're fine, but it seems there's a pretty high dud-rate, and still no blu-ray drives in sight =(

Yeah, only TFL (and M3 probably) had credits, Myth 2 also had a cutscene with a picture of the dev team before starting "A long awaited drinking party"vinylrake wrote:the only credits I've seen for M2 are here.Jestrel wrote:Anyone know who did the pre-game illustrations for the campaign?

Re: The Forge Land Bridge
Correct. Myth's terrain is represented by a thing called by a mesh; this is simply a 2d grid, where each point can have a vertical (up/down) height. Because of this, there's no such thing as a "bridge", instead you can have a model that allows units to pass over a pretend bit of land, or u...

Re: Myth Tools running in PowerPC/Rosetta instead of Intel
Aren't they doing this with Snow Leopard? If not yet, they're certainly getting rid of PowerPC versions of all bundled apps, presumably gearing up to drop further support for PowerPC in OS X.devSin wrote:(unless Apple were to someday remove Rosetta, I guess).

Hrm, I thought the last version of Dreamseedz was more recent than a 1.1, and that it was a single combined release? I can't for the life of me find it though ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

How exactly have you opened the port? 3453 iirc is an incoming port, so you need to direct it to whichever machine will actually be hosting the game, otherwise new, incoming connections won't go anywhere.

BetterZip can also handle .7z files, and also a lot of other formats. It's shareware but invaluable if you work with a lot of archive files, I think it even handles all the stuffit formats too.
