Re: hey punkuser
@dac Kudos for actually doing something. Am curious how the Mariusnet binary differs from the standard server code, but don't have a Windows machine handy to dig into it.

Re: Are all Myth plugins available on the Tain?
I don't see the advantage of sending yourself an email to the plug from your smartphone. I don't either, when you can just doubleclick on the game name. :) But in case other people also don't know you can do that, I've now added instructions to do so (and how to install plugins) at the bottom of th...

Re: Are all Myth plugins available on the Tain?
Cool! I didn't actually know that. I'll just add instructions to that effect in that case. But you can also just double click on the red game in Myth II and click on the arrow that appears to find that plugin on The Tain automatically...

Re: Are all Myth plugins available on the Tain?
Hmm. Someone's playing a mesh called "WWII:Recon Deluxe Elimination (classic) v1.0", but when I search for that on the Tain, I find nothing. Even if I just search for WWII:Recon I find something that I think is not this. What's the easiest way to find a plugin that someone else is playing?

Are all Myth plugins available on the Tain?
I was toying with the idea of adding a link to each plugin into the iPhone app, eg if game X is being played with plugin Y, you could tap on it and it would open a tain page with the search results for that plugin name, which you could then email to yourself for easy download on your computer. This'...

Re: Myth iOS app
One thing that's still fuzzy for me is whether the Tain got some written (or other) permission for those game icons above? I assumed they had--considering Bungie's been totally aware of ProjectMagma and Mariusnet for years and actively encouraged them (this gleaned from looking at Bungie.net posts b...

Re: Myth iOS app
I've resubmitted it now with a new icon and the Fear and Loathing copyright text. We'll see. In case anyone's curious, I've quickly made a Mythlike logo so it would still relate to what the app is actually about (as opposed to some totally random generic icon): https://img.skitch.com/20111023-bjtpb6...

Re: Myth iOS app
Anyone know a particular person at Bungie I could contact? Have emailed webmaster@bungie.net, but I'm afraid this may get stuck in underling limbo.

Don't know if the app is THAT awesome--just a glorified XML reader at this point. Also just got rejected from the App Store--see other thread. Which is another issue to consider...

Re: Myth iOS app
Copyright notice isn't enough, I have to send them documents related to the rights to the content. Worst case scenario, I have to redraw these icons by hand. Worst worst case, I have to remove the map thumbnails. That would really suck. But those should be fair game via the Fear and Loathing EULA? A...
