Re: Myth 3
Assuming you are using Windows, you might be able to determine the port by using one of Mark Russinovich's Sysinternals tools to log or dynamically view port activity. TCPView seems to show port usage: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/tcpview Process Monitor may also be useful...

Re: Myth 2 + wayland
You probably want to examine and post your myth_log.txt file so others can assist. Also, I would suggest executing Myth II from a command line in a console window so you can see (and post) the console output. If there are missing dependencies, it should be evident in the console output.

The following notes indicate what was required to get Myth II Version 1.8.2 Build 446 running in this particular Linux distro. Lutris Open Gaming Platform for GNU/Linux
Although it isn't something that I have used personally, I noticed that the Lutris Open Gaming Platform for GNU/Linux has script support for both Myth TFL and Myth II: https://lutris.net/games/myth-the-fallen-lords/ https://lutris.net/games/myth-ii-soulblighter/ This script support for both games is...

If you are determined to use the original Myth TFL, then you might try Pyro's suggestion:

Oddness at the Tain
For the last few days, every time I start a tab in my browser with a Tain page, rather than seeing "login" in the upper left of the page, I see "logout {godzfire}" or "logout [(some_other_user_here)]." I can click "logout" and then log in. This is on Firefox 5...

Re: Very Upset: Install Myth II CD-Rom for LINUX
You CAN use the Linux CD-ROM to install Myth II on Windows. This has been the case for a number of years now. You will have to do a manual installation of the Myth II data files, and then apply the latest Windows update. Melkor describes the process you need to follow here: http://tain.totalcodex.ne...

Re: Trying to run Myth TFL
I posted my steps to get Myth TFL to run on several Win7/Win8 machines here: http://tain.totalcodex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6967#p69650 The game seems to want to run in a 4x3 aspect ratio, so you might try changing your screen resolution to a suitable resolution (1024x768, etc.). If you ha...

Re: Need urgent help with Windows 10 Myth 2 Installation!!!!
First, this is a VERY small community, so a little patience is in order if you need help with something. The question is, did the CD-ROM installer finish installing the contents of the Tags folder from your CD-ROM to the hard drive? If so, then you can just run the latest update (Version 1.8.1 avail...

Re: Myth 1 and 2 help.
You can also use Pyro's thread to check the integrity of Myth II files needed for the latest installer: http://tain.totalcodex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6618 You might be able to copy the necessary files from an existing installation if the files on the CD-ROM are corrupt. There are threads ...

This is a recurring issue, so please be patient. Sysadmins should have things back in order when the issue is noted, and then the downloads will be available.

Re: Myth II 1.8.1 Released!
No issues installing or executing on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit, openSUSE 13.2 32-bit or openSUSE 13.2 64-bit. I did have to install 32-bit packages for OpenAL and OpenGL libraries in order to get Myth II running on 64-bit openSUSE, but that's to be expected.
Thanks!
