The cutscenes from Myth 1 and 2 are available on the Tain in higher resolution, and in quicktime format, which can be exported to .mp4 or whatever else you'd like. Sounds like you might have set 'Alternate Preset Recall' on, which overrides the original formation keys. First try hitting the formation button, default 'F', and then a number. if that works, then all you need to do to make it act like it used to is turn off the Alternate Preset Recall, located fro...

Good memory. Yeah, Idles was porting it to wxWidgets. I don't recall exactly how far it got but I believe it was more than 50% done (should check it out at some point and see where it's at). I believe it was originally designed that way, due to the behavior of units in Myth II 1.3, to have them acidentally kill each other.
You could make a patch that 'fixes' this, but that's the only solution.

afaik, there is no finished patch for Myth III to work on modern systems. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :/
