What'll happen with this? I doubt it's going to happen, but a plugin sharing thing would be nice. As it is, we'll get a divide rather like MariusNet-PlayMyth.net. I know that Magma has a tendancy to play on MariusNet, and is more asocciated with it, so I hope this doesn't cause PlayMyth.neters to use Blades' Mill and MariusNeters to use TheTain.org. It'll just make dling plugs a little harder, having two plugin homes.

In the original Mill, people would upload a plugin on The Mill when it was finished so people could go play it.
I wouldn't really like to trawl thru all of TheTain, only to find the plug I want is only to be found on TheMill2, and my time had been wasted :\

Heh, I'd be happy to see just one comprehensive archive up, regardless of which it is. We need that to happen first before getting all worried about the ramifications of having 2 archives. Besides, solo players were far and away the biggest users of the Mill, and mapmakers were never split on mnet/playmyth lines.

I think that more than one archive is great.
Though I think the ideal situation is where the hosting itself is shared over a number of mirrors, and the actual page itself is just in one, maybe two places. Less confusion, and the bandwidth being used up is sort of shared.

Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em
I really don't know where you get your information, as you can plainly see that mnet is hardly used anymore, even by magma :(The Elfoid wrote:I know that Magma has a tendancy to play on MariusNet, and is more asocciated with it, so I hope this doesn't cause PlayMyth.neters to use Blades' Mill and MariusNeters to use TheTain.org. Magma told me they mainly used MariusNet a while back, when I asked where I can find them online. Also, I've been told if you play Friday nite (american nite) you can often find players. Loads online on aniversary.
