Hi, I just set up myth 2 (1.5) on two of my computers in my home and am trying to host a game to play with my wife. I got cable comeing in and have it hooked into my router (Linksys) and then into our main computer (hosting game) and by wireless into our laptop. I tryed to host and join her computer to the game yet got something about a firewall preventing her to join.
I've read as many topics from the forums yet just get more confused. About NAT, forwarding 3453, ect.... I have no idea how to do any of these or specify any settings for my router and/or modum.... heck.. I don't even know how to find my IP address.
I know I'm kind of a lost cause but if you have time can you help walk through and explain how to get this to work.
I'm on a D-Link and have just spent two days trying to fix this. I'm not sure if I did it properly, but I went to open port 3453 and still no dice. Quite odd, I can play when other people host quiet well.
Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em
