horray for horus wasting all our time
In other news, watching the normally "fuzzy lovey lovey" playmyth lapdogs horus and zappo going postal over on the forums is HILARIOUS.
I'd make fun of them over there, but I lost my PM forum privs a long time ago

I'm not into that whole "brevity" thing.
Maybe the folks at PlayMyth just needed to hear some appreciation and positive feedback and finally cracked with one two many wankers chewing on their nuts? :O
We've played there every Friday or Saturday night since forever and it's never been down or been a hassle to get a game on. Maybe most everyone who plays there just take PlayMyth for granted because it runs so smoothly?
It's not obvious to most people to send in positive feedback (there's no PlayMyth Appreciation Day), so my guess is something acted as the final straw and they've cracked. I imagine when you're experiencing B.S. from too many people pretty soon everything starts to stink.
I have no qualms signing the petition and did so. I've told them in the past that I think they've done a great job but I don't mind telling them again. Like other great Myth stuff, we have to remember they're doing it for free.
And like anything else people do simply for the love of it, when it becomes a job or they don't hear "Thank you" enough they can quickly lose their inspiration...

I forgot to add - that petition is the laughing stock of the year! Did you read what they were whinging about? They didn't want a petition telling them how much you'd miss them if they shut the place down. They wanted people to clean up their act!
Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em
We abandoned ranked games so long ago I can't even remember. People take things so dang seriously sometimes it's just plain nuts. I mean: it's a game for crying out loud!
Personally I like to play Myth to reduce stress... Is it a coincidence that "rank" and "wank" sound so much alike?
Agreed.
However, I think the whole petition thing was done with the idea of showing appreciation separate from the issue of policing themselves. I could be wrong, but it seemed to me to be a way of showing that everyone wasn't just gonna bitch at each other ad infinitum and that there were people who cared about the game enough to say something positive.
I read through part of the zillion page thread discussing the problem itself and managed to read a few intelligent/reasonable posts between various emotionally over-the-top mini-flame-fests. I gave up and decided to just say "thanks guys" in the petition (my third post ever on PlayMyth.net).
We never play ranked and don't tolerate BS from wankers so no way for us to contribute any other way.

They'll see my name on the petition the same day Elvis comes back from Hell because he's in search of warmer weather.
I just don't get it. They complain about people being asses, and now they've spawned threads on every forum full of asses arguing with each other! I LOVE MYTH!
