I don't have a Classic install or a OS 9 bootable partition, so I can't run Lothar's Plugin Patcher. Does anybody have the latest TSG (The Seventh God) already patched?

Ray

P.S. Anybody know what happened in the past few days that prompted Lothar to close down his site? See: Lothar's Myth II: Soulbligher Page -- Close

I'll have to try the DL again. Last time I did, neither OS X's BOMArchiver nor StuffItExpander could un-ZIP it.

Nope, the version at MythAddict won't un-zip on my machine with either BOMArchiver or StuffIt 10.

What are you downloading with?
I just checked the archive and it unzips successfully. Somehow Your download is getting corrupt it seems.

I suggest you use something like wget or some other utility that allows pausing of downloads.

I tried Safari and iCab. Tried iCab again. Worked fine. I guess third time's a charm.

Heheheheh. Guess so.

As to Lothar's page... He kind of 'flopped' with myth plugs the other day and just... gave up. He couldnt get his latest multi plug to work as he'd designed it on his first try, so he decided it was his last attempt at plugin making, and said farewell to udogs hotline. it was dismal.

He said he would still be playing Miff at least.

Yeah, don't know why he had to take potshots at CP's and my plugins though. I've never done anything to offend Lothar at all, and I really doubt CP has either. Last I saw, GHOST was trying to help him out with his multi plug problems, but Lothar didn't really want to know about it.

I don't blame him for being frustrated, though I do question his reasoning.

I've been entertaining similar thoughts of jumping ship lately. I wasted months on Freedom 2 and don't have the technical ability to really fix it for PC users. Cid and I have heaps of ideas for future maps but I'm kinda fucked for time at the moment. Don't really know if I should bother anymore! :D

I can't NOT laugh at that, just a little bit. It's sad to see someone go from the community, but when they put it like that, shunning the whole Myth community...

Screw 'im. It's not Magma's fault you suck, Lothar.

Umm... having just read Lothar's angry webpage about Magma, all I can say is wtf? I don't think I've put down or had pretensions towards any other map maker - ever (unless you count clem, but that had nothing to do with his maps). I'm rather positive Iron hasn't either, and pretty sure the same can be said about Ghost. The only reason I can think of for us being the targets of a long rant that ends in "I hope you rot in hell" is a bad dose of crystal meth.
