Hello...
How do you assign a block chance to a monster? The absorbed fraction is plain, but there is no block fraction around, not in monsters, not anywhere. Then how do I assign and/or manipulate a monster's block chance? I can change the sequence used for blocking, I can change the projectile group called. Does giving a unit both of these also automatically give it a block chance, which is always at a fixed %?
Help! :O
Block Chance - ... - where?
Oh wow. So I guess that means that the blocker's recovery time (after blocking) is limited by how long it takes their blocking sequence to run. Or more correctly it will always take a unit the exact same amount of time to block since the sequence itself doesn't change, since recovery time is really the amount of time the unit stands there in its idle sequence before he next attack sequence kicks it.
Not faster, but more frequently.
That's what this option does is makes a unit more or less likely to block, but they're ability to block at all still depends on having a sequence set for it.
ie - every time a unit is hit with a melee attack they have say 50% chance of blocking (this is likely not the correct value), if you increase their block chance then this might go up to 75%, if you reduce it it'll go down to 25%.
[edit]
Also, if a unit is blocking and hit by another attacker, I'm fairly sure they can still block that second (or third etc.) attack even though they are still in the middle of their sequence. But the chance of blocking is relatively low (even with the setting at max) so this is quite unlikely.
