Maeldun, Murgen, Cu Roi, Rabican - Your Thoughts on these Avatara
No, Zaknafein, we have very little info on the Nine. We know more of Alric than the rest of the Nine combined.

By the way... look what I made using images of Iron's Rabican unit, TFL's Avatara unit, and something I cooked up myself recently. If it doesn't REMIND you of another image you all know by now... Okay, Pyro, you asked the question so now I've had to think about it and make some decisions. In my version of Myth (which may be different than everyone elses...)
Cu Roi is a shape shifter that frequently takes that shape of a beast and roams the Myrth (my name for the map we all know and love). He has a stronghold/citadel (like all sorderer/generals should) on the top of a high hill on the Eastern side of the Tarhan Downs near the mouth of the Wild River. Since he is so close to it, one of the places he frequently roams is Forest Heart. He favors the guise of a bear, but is also often a falcon, salmon, and dolphin and is always mostly grey.
He has stayed in animal form for long periods and if not cautious can "lose" himself. He used to frequently assume the form of the wolf but after many years using this shape accidently came upon a group of wolves that allowed him to join their pack. He spent many seasons with them, and was thought lost, until a Forest Giant came upon them and recognized Cu Roi (being able to see through these illusions). The Giant called out to him and Cu Roi remembered himself and with great sadness left his pack, the only true family he had known for many years. He was once also forgotten in the form of a shark, but in this instance he was able to pull himself back.
In human form he is very large, wears a grey mantle and wields a wand. His primary attack a form of Rhabdomancy. Pointing his wand at an opponent causes a stream of objects similar to his wand to launch at the opponent causing kinetic damage upon contact. Not sure what other attacks he
may have yet.

As Horus mentioned, I came up with identities for the unknown four members of The Nine for various projects I'm working on. In case anyone is interested:
Cerivus: Although Cerivus was about average in magical prowess compared to the other members of The Nine, his abilities as a leader were questionable. He took charge of the defense of Madrigal shortly after Rabican headed off to fight near the Cloudspine. When The Red Terror began to besiege the city, Cerivus kept his legion hunkered down within its walls, refusing to engage the Fallen Lord in anything more than a few small skirmishes. He was slain when Madrigal finally fell in the last days of the war.
Fortinas: Swayed by the Head’s lies, it was Fortinas who led the uprising in the western provinces near the end of the war. He was slain during the civil war.
Mirabela: One of the most powerful of The Nine, and easily the most loved by those who served under her. She was in very direct touch with the natural world, and was able to tame wild beasts and summon spirits of the forest. In battle, she wielded a magic bow which she created herself and imbued with dozens of potent spells. In the early days of the civil war against the Head, she was surrounded by Fortinas’s men while wandering alone (as she often liked to do). She killed hundreds of them single-handedly, but eventually collapsed from exhaustion, at which point Fortinas appeared. With the help of the Head, Fortinas performed a ritual upon Mirabela which removed selective parts of her soul, and effectively made her a mindless slave of The Head. She was killed in the later days of the civil war.
Asharel: The last of The Nine to die during the Great War. Asharel was with Alric during his push through the Dire Marsh and The Barrier. When Alric marched into Rhi’anon, he left Asharel and a sizeable rearguard behind to insure that he was not smashed from behind by the Trow forces to the south. The rearguard successfully delayed the enemy forces and gave Alric time to reach his goal, but was wiped out to a man.

Pyro--Cool pic, . Is that an actual model on the right?
A-Red--Cool ideas. Are you working on a "Battle for the Head" mesh on TFV?
I found a old model I made that bears a resemblance to Alric, I might see if I can work on it and make a decent unit out of it for an avatara. I'm sure someone could find a use for it

Murgen in the middle reminds me of the Avatara you controlled in Myth 3. In fact, their clothing and face are almost identical. Too bad someone couldn't convert the Myth 3 models to Myth 2. That would give us so much to work with.
Pyro Maeldun looks very good the way you did it. The only thing I would change is making his outfit gray. For some reason that's just how I think it would be if the pictures were colored.
ADDITION: There's got to be some way we can track down some people who helped make Myth & Myth 2 and get their ideas and insight on something like this. We have connections, right?

How to convert units from M3 to M2 (in theory)...
This assumes you don't have 3DSMAX, and hence can't import the unit models and their
animations and just render them etc.
1. Make a M3 map that is entirely blue (or whatever color won't conflict with the unit)
2. Place desired unit on the map, and put it on impassable terrain (explanation in a minute). Place some enemy archers somewhere & script them to attack when your unit taunts.
3. Open the map in M3, and make the unit stand still/fidget, walk, attack the ground etc. In other words make it perform its various animations. Having the terrain impassable means the unit will walk without actually going anywhere.
4. Taunt the unit, which causes the archers to walk up and attack, thus giving you flinch and eventually soft death.
5. End the game, and open it as a film. Play it in the slowest speed possible, taking screenshots from the 8 angles for the appropriate number of frames for each sequence. Make the camera zoom appropriate so that the image won't have to be resized. Take care to ensure the unit is exactly positioned in the middle of the screen for each series of shots. Note: You'll need a lot of disk space for all these screenies.
6. In Photoshop or whatever editor you prefer, index the images.
7. Import into Amber, and voila! M3 unit in M2.
Note: The only flaw I can anticipate in the above, apart from the painstaking labour involved, is the possibility of shadows on the ground. Some method needs to be used to avoid them being cast as otherwise they'll need to be edited out of the hundreds of screenshots. Perhaps this could be done by marking the terrain type as water, or placing the unit meters above the ground...

For that image I put together, I had to edit the Murgen (center unit) to look like that. I took a screenshot of its flinch and placed the head of one of his idle images. The right hand with the sword was placed from another image, and his left hand which is glowing I got from the eblis stone attack pose image.
For Maeldun... its a work in progress, Gleep, which I want to use on my current plugin. Its just a modified TFL Avatara collection. The orb on the staff is just a dispersal dream orb I made white. The staff itself I got from the warlock collection. The amulet is just a bunch of dots put together which I got from the orb before changing its color. As for its cloak's color, GodzFire, it isn't final. I imaged him with a dark colored cloak, and I wanted to quickly take a screenshot of it... I thought I could decide its color later... though a gray..does look good on it. What do you imagine the secondary color to be? Which is the belt, wrists, and bottom part of the cloak.
Using the M3 Avatara would bring some variety... but that would take some work.

I was gonna do the blue mesh thing in M3 for a Dwarf Axeman unit but never got round to it. The idea is still very much there for things like Iron Trow and this Avatara unit though.
But do you have to make the terrain impassable? Why not just make the unit have no movement speed?

Or just make like 10 versions of hte units, and change each of their idles to be different sequences. One would have walk as idle. One would have death as idle. One would have attack as idle. One would have flinch as idle etc... just make sure they only have 1 idle and no transition. then they will just loop thru the sequences, and you won't have to worry about them being in different positions.
