well, here's the rub - khellek has disappeared, and he's the guy who was scripting it.

as the project description tells you, it's not just a normal script on this map; it's meant to be very dynamic, to give the AIs a chance to behave intelligently, rather than just throwing their units at you. the core of the script is in a stage of partial construction, but not complete. even when khellek himself had spent a while away from it he had to work hard to refamiliarise himself with it. if anyone else can truly understand what the script is doing, it's a feat of pure genius, if not insanity (the good kind of insane, too).

once i've finished other commitments i have at the moment, i can see what i can do about retuning the multiplayer aspects for balance and testing. as for the story, i can try to learn what khellek's core script means and does so i can finish it, and then perhaps work on the real levels, find another scripter who is not just talented but gifted and freakishly smart or i can release the story as the journals or some written form (maybe write a choose your own adventure framework? :p ).

i'm really sorry to everyone that this has been... taking its time (to put it very, very, very nicely).

(zeph: it's been in my mind since 2000 - maybe as early as '99. i can't remember exactly when i started, except that the original vista forum was still active in its earthy colour scheme and ghost helped edit the journals.)

also, to answer the question about file size, the original psd file (sadly lost because some writeable CDs i used for backup were shit) was around 300-350MB.
