cutscenes won't play

I downloaded the OSX installer, and have played through the whole singleplayer but it didn't play any of the cutscenes and now when I kill soulblighter the screen goes black and the games freezes. The only thing I can do now is force quit out of the game. Is there any way to get the end of the game to work or the cut scenes to work.

The cutscenes should work if you have them installed (and thus have a cutscenes folder in your Myth II folder with all the files), or have the CD in the drive. Depending on the install, they may not be present for Myth II to open them (that is, if it's not installed to your hard drive, they are on CD - but you may not have it in the drive).

If that is not the problem, please post the contents of your myth_log.txt file (inside the folder of the game), after the problem has occurred. Thanks.

Here is the log text. I do have the cutscenes installed and I had the cd in the drive and they are all in the cutscenes folder. I even downloaded a smacker player to watch the cutscenes so they do work. But, ingame they won't play I tried some conversions like Jinn. But, the game works fine minus the cutscenes, until the end when it locks up altogether.

Very strange. I'm under Mac OS 10.4.5 also, and they work fine for me. What's your hardware like?

it is the 17" imac G5 with 1.9Ghtz, 512mb ram. Straight out if the box in november, I haven't done any hardware upgrades yet.

Can you tell me if using Windowed mode vs full-screen mode changes anything? This is really strange, and it doesn't seem like I would be able to debug it since I can't reproduce it. :(

Actually, when the game freezes, can you go to Activity Monitor (under Applications/Utilities), open it, find the Myth II process, click Inspect and then click "Sample", and show me the contents of the sample it generates?

Themba have you tried using different screen resolutions? (via myth preferences)

I switched resolutions, the ingame cutscenes still froze. The only thing it did was put a red bar in the middle of the screen when I tried to replay the intro.
