Hellou!

I wanna create a complete new unit with modern clothes: jeans,jacket... whats the easiest way to do this?
(It is possible to change the standard units a bit (for example a farmer)?)which programms I need?

I think the easiest way to create a "new" unit is to use one from an other plugin and change the clothes.!?!

This guy should be able to hit (boxing) others...

(PS: How can I write something on a house wall?)

No "easy" way to create a complete new unit.

For a general idea of the steps involved you would need to create 3d models of the units, color/paint/texture them, and then create animation sequences from 8 different compass points for each action they do (walk, attack, taunt, die, etc). then you would need to convert those animation sequences into individual frames - each being a 2D graphic files that a mapmaking tool like Amber can recognize, then you would need to use that tool to import all the frames of your animations and create the tag file that you would put in your local folder. Then you would have to use Fear to create (copy/paste/edit) all the 'tags' (attributes) that make this unit unique (things like it's movement speed, what terrain it can walk over, how resistant it is to various kinds of attacks, how IT attacks, it's size, etc). Then build the plugin (in Fear).

If you "just" want to modify the appearance of existing units you can either use something like UnTag (or Tag Extractor) to extract the image tags, then use Amber to convert those tags into 2D bitmapped images that you can edit in a graphics program. (A fairly large undertaking to do by hand as you will have hundreds of individual frames to edit) then reverse the process by reconverting/importing the images into the tag then put the tag into your local folder then in Fear build a plugin that will contain your new clothes.

Writing things on a house wall is a similar process. Use Tag Extractor/UnTag to extract the tag images from the house, Amber to convert/extract the images to bitmapped images. edit the images in your graphics pgm of choice, then reverse the process.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

its been like a year since iv done it but theres a really easy way to change colors in one shot, you can export an entire unit (i forgot the process name, i think its done with Amber) into one sheet. It usually has a blue (background), purple lines (dividers) and red dots (inv marker to keep unit from jerking, lol).

Its hardley worth the kb it takes up though for even one unit.

The other process (doing it from scratch as mentioned above) is a very long process and involves alot of time and effort. I used Poser for the skeletons and genie that I made for UndeadLegions but I hear poser is like one of the worst programs to use.

If you attempt the feat of doing from scratch then I wish you luck.

It depends on your operating system, are you:
Mac OS 9.x and so on
Mac OS 10.x and so on
or are you on a Windows computer?
If you're on Mac OS X without Classic System, Amber will not work unless you install Mac OS 9.
It should work if you're on Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X with classic.
If you're on Windows, Amber won't work at all.
Amber is basically built for Mac OS 9. (and possibly to some extent Mac OS 7/8)

Well I looked into it and once ya got it running you just export a collection as an alpha map and if ya got decent photoshop skills all you have to do is select color and alter it.
In Amber you can associate color ranges to be "primary" and "secondary" color...or even "alternitive color". If you dont want to bother exporting collections and dealing with photoshop you can just export the collection in Amber and alter the colors there and in fear.
My first attempt at this was when I wanted to fix the poacher peasents primary and secondary color and that damn pig rider...his parts where defult multi-player colors that went to defult..haha.

You can edit a collection reference too.

I think you're biting off too much to chew though mate. You clearly are new to mapmaking ;) Making a new unit is one of THE hardest possible things to do in myth.
