Hello, i'd really love to make a campaign with a selection of troop types (alliance; at least one of each type every level) with the veteran abilities not only able to advance past '5', but also to improve other stats like health and speed possibly.
now, obviously, i could be horribly naive and the ability to alter things other than attack speed is impossible. I hold out hope that it is indeed possible to tie veteran status to not just attack speed.
would be fun to have a map that was designed for heroes only, but would involve MY best troops during the campaign and not just some stupid stock heroes with uber skills.
oh, and i have 1.5.1 downloaded.

In Fear, on the monster tag... under "Flags" check the box "Use Extended" and then go to the terrain speed window where you choose which terrain types the unit can walk on and at what speed... in the Marsh Terrain Cost place the limit of vetting... instead of the default 5 it will go up to this new number for that unit alone. Read the more updated Fear and Loathing Docs for more info on other things.
I can't remember where they are... somewhere in the udogs hotline.

The Fear and Loathing docs should have come with your Myth 2 CD. They give very good details about most things in Fear, except for new features that came with the 1.5.1 engine. You can get a OS X Native Version of Fear and Loathing but I can't remember where they are!
Edit: I remember the place. Myth 1.5.2 Download
It contains latest versions of Fear and Loathing.

http://projectmagma.net/1.4mapguide.shtml explains vetting I believe. There are mapmaking guides for Fear and Loathing, but I don't remeber where they are.
Also if you want to increse a monsters speed and health, you would have to make a new monster tag in Fear with better attributes and link an artifact to it. Then do a map action so that when the monster reaches a certain amount of kills it gets the artifact which makes it stronger, tougher, and faster. This doesn't allow the unit to gradually get better, but only in steps.
