I have two questions-
First of all, how does one edit a custom Myth 2 map? I know how to edit maps that are built into the game, and I know sort of how to make my own new ones. But how do I open a map plugin that I downloaded somewhere and edit it with loathing?
Secondly, I have the same dilemma with unit set plugins. How do I take someone else's unit set, open it, and add my own changes?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

It's quite simple really:
1) Get a Tag Extractor. You can find some here!
2) Extract ALL the tags in one go (if it allows you to).
3) Put all of these tags in an empty local folder.
4) Open up loathing and you can edit the maps in the plugins.

Now to extracting units:
1) Repeat steps 1 to 3 above.
2) You can get a Mac/PC version of Chaos here.
3) Chaos allows you to extract a monster tag and all connected tags. Once you've extracted all the tags, go into Chaos and into the "Extraction" section.
4) Click on a UNIT tag to extract. It will extract all the tags related to the monster.
5) It will appear in a new "local" folder in your Myth 2 folder.

If you're on a Mac:
1) Extract the tags onto your desktop.
2) Put the folder that contains the tags into a new folder.
3) Put Chaos (and Fear and if you must; Loathing won't work because the M2 maps aren't there) into that new folder.
4) Extract the monster using the walkthrough above.
5) All tags related to that Monster will be in a new folder. Put the contents of that folder into an empty "local" folder in your M2 folder.
6) You can now edit the monster in Fear.

Notes: If you want to edit maps and monsters: Extract all the tags f the plugin. It will ask you where to put them. Put them in your local folder. Take the contents of the new folder and put them in local. And get rid of the empty folder.
