How do I use overhead map to move units?

Talk about anything here.

I want to choose a unit via a present and move it by indicating a place on the overhead map.

I used to know how to do this, but forgot. Any help is most welcome.

Hold down option and click on the map. The little windows key if you are "so inclined".

I suppose my not having any Windows or Option keys might have something to do with my never having heard of this before!

Is it true you can target wildlife by holding down the Windows/Option key and clicking?

You don't have an alt/option key? I think you can also move via overhead map by using right-click in windows?

And if you're playing vTFL, you can kill friendlies that way.

Next time I spot a vTFL game at PlayMyth I'm so taking down some friendly archers with my warrs.

The last time I teamkilled at Playmyth, my warlock blew up some other guys soulless and 2 other warlocks - but I detatched to THOR so quickly that they all blamed him!

God I'm a genius sometimes.

I think the Windows key equates to the "Option" key in MacOS. The Alt key doesn't do those things.

I don't think so. Everyone uses the right-click to deselect units anyway, the game would be much harder to play otherwise.

I use right-click to attack ground location. And it so does work on the overhead. It makes my units go to that spot and attack the ground. To deselect units you could just make a box with no units in them. I find right-clicking good for any long range units... way better than deselecting. But then again it's what I became used to.

Well why not? Unless you have an older one-button Mac mouse then right-clicking is extremely useful =)

Actually, my Mac mouse also has two buttons, but I'm used to using one.

And I'm used to using control a lot because of Marathon. I have a strong pinky. :/

YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, I don't use the mouse on Marathon either!

Cid once pointed it out to me that when we (I don't know about the rest of you) play Myth, it's like we're delivering high speed Morse Code on the mouse button. When I order men around I constantly tap the damn thing, trying to figure out exactly where it is I want them to go.

This is less a 'strategy' and more a compulsion that I never really thought about. Still.
