For a start, all units that are found in both TFL and SB (like warriors, berserks, dwarves etcetera) are converted to their TFL models. So, instead of looking like what they do in SB, they look like what they do in TFL. Also, Bowmen are converted into fir'Bolg. The only exceptions are Soulblighter, the Shade and the Journeyman. You can also use vTFL with the Fallen Levels. The Fallen Levels are the levels in TFL ported to SB and can be found here.
Be careful with use of vTFL; it can cause some plugins to go back to the main menu.

Yeha, it's a lot of things. Units used to keep moving when they turned, pathfinding radii were a bit bigger, the Trow 'bled' instead of 'puffed'...
Yeah look, these could all be good or bad depending on the player, but I personally think TFL was just better. M2 felt dumbed down.

Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em

Seems antithetical to me, considering the selling point of TFL (for me anyway) was that it was about strategy, and dealing with those unpredictable factors in a creative fashion.Doobie wrote:it didn't just feel dumbed down, it WAS dumbed down. Bungie themselves talked about making the second game in the series easier for the user, and less unpredictable.
Or, hah, you can just send in a bunch of M2 warriors that stand so close together that they overlap. Hahah.

Or hah, throw a bottle at a ghol, dud or bounce as it usually does, then when you try to run behind the warriors before the pus is thrown, you get stuck moonwalking in front of them because of anti clump messing up pathfinding.
But this isn't a TFL is great, or TFL sucks thread. Its just about whats different, so I'm sorry for bringing this up
